Candidate for Raleigh City Council, District D

Why I'm Running

I believe that the best of Raleigh is still ahead of us and that we need a leader who will be bold in the face of our many challenges and who has experience building effective partnerships. I’m running because I believe in the promise of an accessible Raleigh City Council that serves all its people. I’m running because I seek to be a bridge for all the residents of District D to City Council, regardless of your zip-code or address. I’m running because I know that Raleigh can be better, and do better, but we need the right elected officials to move us forward.

Raleigh, District D

District D encompasses most of southwest Raleigh and is uniquely situated as it encompasses part of the growing downtown and warehouse district as well as historic neighborhoods that have stood for decades. In addition, it includes NC State University and Meredith College. District D is home to some of the most diverse beliefs, ideas, and challenges. Our district is growing rapidly and needs a leader to steward that growth in an equitable, transparent and bold manner.
